Tail Gas Treatment (Nat. Gas) Gas Processing

The environmental regulation on fuels and industrial wastes leads to a challenging situation for refiners who need to treat more acid gas associated with a better sulfur recovery.

The objective of the Claus unit is to transform sulfurized hydrogen in sulfur as a storable, commercializable and non pollutant product. Typical sulfur recovery rates stand from 94 to 98%. If further recovery is needed, a tail gas treatment (TGT) unit is added downstream the Claus unit, leading to recovery rates ranging from 99 to 99.9%.

Axens has been a leader in Claus TGT catalysts for many years.

This technology can be offered in conjunction with an Axens' commercial partner
