Axens' AlphaSelectTM process produces high purity linear a-olefins (C4 to C10) suitable as copolymers for LLDPE production and as precursors for plasticizer alcohols and poly-alphaolefins. This oligomerization process, similar to the Alphabutoltm technology, operates in the liquid phase using a soluble catalyst system.
The AlphaSelectTM process is strongly backed-up by Axens’ extensive industrial experience in homogeneous catalysis. There are 19 licenses for the production of butene-1 using homogeneous catalysis with a total butene-1 production capacity of 312 000 MTPY.
