The PolynaphthaTM process achieves high conversions of light olefinic fractions into higher value gasoline and kerosene. This inexpensive process gives the refiner a wide choice of feedstocks and product distributions.
Feedstock choices include propylene and mixed-butene fractions (or combinations) such as C3 and C4 cuts from cracking processes.
Products are C6+ iso-olefin fractions that can be used as high octane blending stocks for the gasoline pool and high smoke point blending stocks for kerosene and jet fuel. The adjustable product pattern ranges from 100% gasoline to 60% kerosene.
Five units have been licensed (four in operation), with a cumulative operating experience exceeding 40 years.
