ACG 369
is a proprietary guard bed used for trace sulfur removal in catalytic reforming units.
ACG 369 is specifically designed for use in vapor phase sulfur guard systems. This system operates in the vapor phase as it treats the combined feed and recycle gas stream to produce an essentially sulfur-free effluent. All sulfur species are removed.
ACG 369 allows the refiner to take full advantage of the maximum stability available from modern bimetallic reforming catalysts. This additional stability can be used to obtain the following benefits: increased C5+yields through reduced pressure, reduced utility costs by reducing recycle ratio, increased reformate RON and MON, increased cycle-averaged C5+ yield through a reduction in catalyst aging, improved recovery and performance that would be otherwise jeopardized by sulfur upsets and increased cycle life.
