catalyst is used in the Axens process to convert benzene to cyclohexane via hydrogenation in the liquid phase first reactor. It can also be used for many other hydrogenation processes.
Being a liquid, HC 1025 can be pumped into the liquid phase of the hydrogenation reactor during operation, in continuous or in batch processes. This provides an easy way to adjust the catalyst concentration in the reactor at any time and to achieve the required hydrogenation rate with minimum catalyst consumption.
