Longer cycles and minimum hydrogen are the driving forces behind the development of HR 526, a high activity CoMo catalyst manufactured using our new Advanced Catalytic Engineering (ACE™) technology platform. HR 526 exhibits outstanding desulfurization activity, making it ideal for ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) service. It is especially suited as a replacement catalyst for straight run gas oil (SRGO) hydrotreating units.

Hydrogen availability is a key issue in several refineries. While HR 526 exhibits poor hydrogenation activity, its extreme activity for sulfur removal enables it to be employed for ultra deep desulfurization of SRGO containing some cracked material.
