HMC 945 is used for the hydrotreatment of heavy cuts such as atmospheric residue, vacuum residue and desasphalted oil. This catalyst performs a high level of demetallization and a reduction in Conradson carbon residue.

The special design of HMC 945 provides high levels of performance, even in very severe operating conditions (high temperature), due to high metal retention and optimized hydrodesulfurization activity.

To attain high desulfurization rates, HMC 945 is used in combination with HT 318 catalyst as a second stage. HMC 945 is available in the form of beads with a diameter from 4.0 to 6.3 mm.
