HMC 841 is used for hydrotreatment of heavy cuts such as atmospheric residue, vacuum residue and desasphalted oil. This catalyst performs at a high level of demetallization and Conradson carbon reduction.

The special design of HMC 841 provides these levels of performance, even in very severe operating conditions (high temperature), because it has a high capacity for metal retention and an optimized hydrodesulfurization activity.

To reach a high desulfurization rate, HMC 841 is used in combination with HT 318 catalyst as a second stage. HMC 841 is available in the form of beads with a diameters from 1.5 to 3.0 mm.
