AR 501 has been designed for Axens’ continuous catalyst regeneration AromizingÒ process and can be used in other technologies.

AR 501 allows the use of modern ultra-low operating pressures leading to a maximum conversion of naphthenes and paraffins into aromatics with lower coke formation at lower platinum inventory than previous generation catalysts.

Its outstanding mechanical properties include a high resistance to attrition and a high regenerability; it exhibits very low reduction in surface area after numerous regenerations.
