CR 401 is a bimetallic, platinum-tin, reforming catalyst developed to produce high octane gasoline from straight run naphtha.

CR 401 is designed specifically for the continuous regeneration reforming process and includes these features:

  • High mechanical strength offering minimum abrasion in catalyst transfer through lifts between reactors.
  • High regenerability based on a very low reduction in surface area after numerous regenerations.

To speed up the start-up of CCR units using CR 401 , a prereduced form of this catalyst labelled, CR 401 R, is available.

  •  High selectivity offering maximum C5+ and hydrogen yield at very low pressure.
