AR 505  is a bimetallic platinum-tin catalyst, is our latest continuous regeneration reforming catalyst for aromatics production with maximum selectivity.

AR 505 is designed for the Axens’ Aromizing® process but can also be used with other technologies.

Compared to its predecessor, AR 405, it exhibits the same performance with lower platinum loading.

The outstanding mechanical properties of AR 405 include high resistance to attrition and sintering. AR 505 has a high capacity for regeneration; it exhibits a very low reduction in surface area after numerous regenerations.

The platinum content of the catalyst can be adjusted depending on the unit operation severity.
