RG 682 is Axens’ new generation of promoted platinum-rhenium, mildly unbalanced reforming catalyst developed to produce high octane gasoline. RG 682 is the result of Axens nanometer technology which assures the optimum interaction between promoter, platinum and rhenium. It provides an increase in C₅+ and hydrogen production in addition to an extended cycle length as a consequence of a drastic increase in activity and stability.

RG 682 can be used in place of any bimetallic catalyst in fixed-bed-reactor semi-regenerative reforming units, working over a wide range of pressures from 10 to more than 30 bars.

This catalyst is also available in low platinum version.
