PetroChina has selected Axens Prime-G+™ technology for the production of clean gasoline in two of its gasoline producing complexes. Prime-G+ is the world’s leading gasoline desulfurization technology with over 140 licenses to date.

The Jinxi Petrochemical Complex in Liaoning Province will install a 32 800 barrel per day (bpd) grassroots Prime-G+™ that will be fed by fluidized catalytic cracked (FCC) gasoline. The Prime-G+ unit will reduce sulfur down to the level required to ensure a gasoline pool sulfur content of less than 50 ppm.

The Dagang Petrochemical Complex in Tianjin Province will be constructing an 18 200 bpd unit Prime-G+ unit operating on 100% FCC gasoline feedstock. The gasoline pool sulfur content will be less than 25 ppm.
