July 4, 2002 - "Consumers' Co-op Awards Axens its 50th FCC Gasoline Desulfurization License"

Consumers' Co-operative Refineries Limited has selected Axens’ Prime-G+ technology to assist in meeting Canadian gasoline sulfur regulations at its Regina, Saskatchewan refinery. The Prime-G+ process will reduce sulfur in the full range catalytic cracking naphtha, the main blending component to the gasoline pool, to 15 ppm.

The Prime-G+ process, tailored for the treatment of cracked gasoline, is the market leader for this application. This award represents Axens’ 50th licenses for this technology for a total production of nearly 1,400,000 barrels per day of "green" FCC gasoline. Jean-Luc Nocca, Axens NA Technology & Marketing Director stated, "We are extremely pleased that Consumers’ Co-op has selected the Prime-G+ process solution as their gasoline sulfur reduction technology. This is particularly noteworthy as it represents our golden license: our fiftieth. This process has been widely accepted in the industry as evidenced by its phenomenal market success over the past two years worldwide. We are convinced that Prime-G+ fits perfectly with market demand".
