Tüpras has awarded technology licenses to Axens including a naphtha hydrotreater, an Octanizing^TM Continuous Catalytic Regenerative (CCR) Reformer and a Benfree^TM benzene saturation unit. The 22 600 barrel per day Octanizer in the “CCR Project” for the Kirikkale refinery in Turkey is being designed to produce a 101 Research Octane Number reformate, while the integrated Benfree unit will lower the gasoline benzene content to below 1% vol.
