The Axens refining seminar in New Delhi, India on April 24, 2003, was attended by nearly 200 members of the Indian refining community. The meeting highlighted key operational concerns including:

• Refined product outlook over the next several years and the influence of ultra low sulfur fuel specifications on refinery operations
  
• Updates on gasoline and diesel production technologies and catalyst improvements, including technologies such as:




• CCR reforming


• FCC naphtha desulfurization
  
• Gasoline pool components
  
• Hydrocracking and distillate hydrotreating
  
• Sulfur recovery


• Axens’ refinery optimization programs for plant performance improvements were extensively discussed.

Jean Sentenac, Axens’ President and CEO, was on hand to kick-off the seminar and to discuss with the attendees throughout the meeting. Axens’ website and electronic documentation center were also presented.
