Launched in 2001, Axens’ Performance Programs offer of advanced services, to improve customer profitability, has been managed as a true start-up activity and is currently on an exponential growth curve. This business brings together LP proficiency, project management skills and technology expertise in the areas of reaction kinetics, modeling, process know-how and design, as well as experience in control and optimization, commercial start-ups and operations, with safety and environmental considerations ever present.
The Performance Programs Business Unit is organized along three lines:
- Refining Expertise Services, including Refinery Studies to guide refiners in the current challenging environment of changing feedstocks and tighter sulfur regulations, while improving margins
- Profit Optimization, via methods from Manufacturing Quick-WinsSM, i.e. the identification of rapid implementation solutions to generate a fast return, to Advanced Process Control, based on proprietary inferential models and associated with a powerful multivariable predictive controller.
