NPK Galychyna has selected Axens’ Performance Programs Business Unit to evaluate and produce a master plan for the modernization of its Drohobych, Ukraine refinery.
Through the QuickWin program, Axens will provide an analysis and proposals for improving the refinery’s operating margins. A market analysis covering future internal demand, product specifications and export opportunities will set the basis for the study and master plan. Key objectives are the production of Western European specification clean fuels and the improvement of conversion levels. Investments to upgrade oil product quality will be optimized and progressively phased-in.
AO NPK Galychyna The NPK Galychyna Company, partly owned by the Ukrainian Government, is specialized in crude refining and oil products distribution through its own local network. Its Drohobych refinery, located in the Lvov oblast, has a capacity of 3.5 million tons per year and comprises crude and vacuum distillation facilities: AVT-1, AVT-2, AT-2, naphtha secondary distillation unit and naphtha hydrotreater and catalytic reformer, thermal cracker, solvent and bitumen production units, paraffins production.
