May 25, 2004 - "Axens’ Diesel Quality Improvement Technology for Rio de Janeiro"
As part of plans to modernize its Rio de Janeiro refinery, Refinaria de Petroleos de Manguinhos SA has contracted Axens to assist in the upgrading of several refinery units. This upgrading work consists of increasing the refinery capacity by 15 % through revamping of the crude distillation, visbreaking and thermal cracking units. To satisfy future diesel pool specifications in Brazil, Axens' Prime-D hydrotreating technology will be employed to upgrade diesel quality.
