July 15, 2004 - "Bangchak Selects Axens’ Technologies"
Bangchak Petroleum Company (BCP) has awarded Axens the license for a Mercury Removal Unit (RAM® III) for their Bangkok refinery in Thailand. The 13,800 bpsd unit will process naphtha feed to remove mercury, upstream of a semi-regenerative reformer. Axens will also provide adsorbents for mercury removal from other streams to control refinery emissions. The start-up of the new units is scheduled for 2005. BCP
The principal activities of Bangchak Petroleum Public Company are crude refining with a capacity of 120,000 barrels per day, petroleum products retailing and wholesaling. The Company sells oil products through service stations under the trademark of Bangchak.
