October 21, 2004 - "SK Corporation selects Axens’ Technologies"
SK Corporation has selected two Axens' ParamaX™ technologies for its aromatics complex in Ulsan, South Korea. The 30,000 bpsd high-severity Aromizing™ CCR reformer will convert naphtha feedstock to a mixture of aromatics compounds, while the 680,000 tons per year Uhde Morphylane™ extractive distillation unit will produce a purified benzene and toluene cut from an Aromizing stream and from the existing catalytic reformer. The start-ups of the new units are scheduled for 2006.
