Axens North America announces that it has entered into an agreement with the Degussa Corporation for the manufacture of Axens’ hydrotreating catalysts and supports at Degussa’s facility in Calvert City, KY. The plant will produce both HR 400 and HR 500 series catalysts using Axens’ Advanced Catalytic Engineering (ACE™) technology and specially developed aluminas that serve as the key raw material in the catalyst production.

Axens’ decision to expand catalyst manufacturing into North America was driven by the growing demand for Axens’ hydrotreating catalysts for the high severity applications required to meet increasingly stringent environmental regulations. The cooperation also offers improved delivery capability and expanded logistical services to Axens’ North American customers.
