November 18, 2004 - "Axens' European Refining Seminar"
The Axens’ 2004 Refining Seminar, “Mastering Motor Fuel Compositions” was held on November 15, in Prague, the Czech Republic. The opening session focused on the changes and challenges of on-road motor fuel needs, followed by an update on technologies, catalysts and services from the perspective of evolving motor fuel blends in the decades to come. Mickael Bodamer from BP Germany present results from the first three years of operation of the world’s first Prime-G+ unit and answered questions from the audience. The near capacity attendance drew representation from 35 countries from the petroleum community.
As part of a refining market learning experience, Axens created an audience participation learning game entitled “Questions for a [Oil Marketing] Champion.” This game will be continued and improved for future conferences. This year’s winners, who demonstrated their knowledge of the oil market and its environment, are:
