Beatrice Biodiesel, LLC (BBL), a wholly owned subsidiary of US Biofuels Inc. has selected Axens North America to supply Esterfip-H™ biodiesel technology for the Beatrice Biodiesel plant to be constructed in Beatrice, Nebraska, thirty miles south of Lincoln. The 50 million gallon-per-year (165,000 ton-per-year) facility will use soy oil as feedstock for the production of FAME (fatty acid methyl-ester) and is scheduled for a 2007 start-up. According to BBL, this is the largest biodiesel production facility to be announced in the United States.
