Aromatics Extraction

High purity BTX components (benzene, toluene and xylenes) are important building blocks in many synthesis processes in the petrochemical industry. Considerable quantities of benzene and xylene compounds are used in the production of major petrochemical intermediates. Despite being rich in aromatics, significant amounts of non-aromatics species are still present in all reformate, pygas, FCC gasoline and COLO which prevent BTX from reaching the required specification.

The concentration of aromatics is performed by using solvent extraction in liquid-liquid or distillation systems.
