Axens North America contribution to the Houston Food Bank 28.10.2016

On the 23rd of July 2016, Axens North America employees and their families showed up with great excitement and enthusiasm to volunteer at the Houston Food Bank, a non-profit organization that collects and distributes food to hunger relief charities.

Axens North America Volunteers at the Houston Food Bank

Axens volunteers helped stuff 5,800 school bags for the “Mayor’s Back 2 School Fest”.
This City of Houston’s event is held every year and aims at helping 25,000 students start the new school year off right. “Mayor’s Back 2 School Fest” not only provides the students with backpacks and school supplies but also gives them access to services such as on-site immunizations or dental and visions screenings.

Besides, in the weeks leading to the volunteering event, a food drive was held and Axens North America employees donated non-perishable food items.
This is the second consecutive year Axens has volunteered at the Houston Food Bank, which is the largest food bank in the United States.
