Prime-G+™ Users Seminar: Celebrating 15 Years of Success! 06.09.2017
This past spring, from April 26 to 28, 2017, Paris and Lyon hosted the Prime-G+™ User Seminar, celebrating 15 years of success for Axens Prime-G+™ technology and presenting the latest advances in the field to our clients and partners.
Axens Prime-G+™ is an innovative selective desulfurization technology that achieves a high desulfurization rate with good octane retention and produces a high gasoline yield without increasing RVP, while minimizing hydrogen consumption.
More than 20 refiners operating at least one Prime-G+™ unit, most of them from Europe and Asia, took part in the 3-day event. The 2 first days, held in central Paris, featured plenary sessions and workshops focusing on operations optimization, maximizing the profitability of existing assets, and presentations of new catalysts and equipment developments.
The third day was spent touring the pilot plant at the IFP Energies nouvelles center in Solaize (near Lyon, France).
The program was very intense and rich with dialogue between the refiners, partners and Axens experts. Long-time partners were welcomed to the stage, such as MiRO, which shared its successful experience with the Axens Prime-G+™, and SAMREF, which demonstrated the advantages of using the APC solution for its Prime-G+ unit.
To increase the interactivity and discussion between participants and speakers, Axens provided a dedicated app bursting with useful information about the event. The app was directly available via participants’ mobile phones, used to facilitate live Q&A and the interactive quiz session.
Attendees also had time to enjoy the beautiful city of Paris aboard a cocktail-cruise down the Seine river featuring live music. Participants are sure to remember their trip fondly for a long time, as well as the wonderful opportunities to share insights and learn from each other.
