AxSorb products are regenerative adsorbents such as molecular sieves and activated aluminas. They are widely used in many industries to dry the feedstock or to remove other contaminants.

The regenerated adsorbents portfolio is classified into different series:

  • AxSorb Drying series: their exceptional properties ensure the highest performance and safest operating conditions for dehydration.
  • AxSorb Purification series: Materials specially developed to achieve your feedstock’s specification requirements. Our products demonstrate superior adsorption capacity and outstanding stability for oxygenates and nitrogen and sulfur compounds removal.
  • AxSorb Specialties: tailored characteristics and properties achieve the required performance for applications where, in addition to adsorption, catalytic and separation functions are required.

With this complete offer, Axens covers all drying and purification applications to serve the refining, petrochemical, natural gas, industrial gases and air drying markets.

The AxTrap product line comprises of guard-bed adsorbents specially designed for safe protection of catalysts, equipment and the environment. Our products feature superior capacities for Mercury, Arsine, Phosphine, Chlorine, Sulfur and Fluoride removal.

The AxTrap family consists of 5 non-regenerative adsorbent series:

  • AxTrap 100 series are highly efficient alumina based metal oxide materials that remove arsine and phosphine at levels a low as 1 ppb wt from gas and liquid hydrocarbon streams.

  • AxTrap 200 series comprises highly efficient ready-to-use trapping materials that remove mercury to levels less than 0.01 µg/Nm3 from LNG streams and less than 1 µg/l from liquid hydrocarbon streams.

  • AxTrap 400 series consists of unique mixed metal complexes which allow efficient removal of sulfur compounds.

  • AxTrap 600 series is activated alumina designed especially for the selective removal of HF and fluorinated hydrocarbons from HF alkylation plant streams.   

  • AxTrap 800 series consists of ready-to-use promoted alumina or metal oxide adsorbents that are designed specifically for the removal of hydrogen chloride from liquid and gas streams. These adsorbents are operable over a wide range of temperatures to cover most chloride removal applications.

TEAMS consist of R&D, analytical, process, project, engineering experts, loading/unloading supervisors, operators training and performance evaluation professionals who work closely with clients to ensure the success of a facility’s whole life cycle from the original grass root design to the final disposal of spent material. Activated alumina along with its promoted forms are the perfect choice for the adsorption of unwanted minerals and nutrients, with proven results for arsenic, fluoride, copper, zinc, lead, silica, phosphates and nitrates.
