OATS™

OATS™ is a simple fixed bed process operating under mild conditions without hydrogen and using a low cost resin TA 801 catalyst. The OATSTM process can be designed to ensure a continuous operation between two FCC turnarounds.

This process has been proved in industry and offers major advantages over competing technologies such as higher octane retention and lower RVP of the gasoline product with no need for hydrogen and low cost metallurgy equipment allowing the retrofitting of idle isomerization or etherification plants.

The main types of reaction take place over TA 801 catalyst used in the process:

Axens and Sulzer-GTC have signed an alliance in order to offer a combined solution with the Prime-G+® and the GT-BTX® Plus technology to convert the FCC gasoline into high value products for the gasoline and the petrochemical segments.

The combination of Prime-G+® and GT-BTX PluS® offers a unique solution to reduce octane loss to a very low level for the gasoline pool. On the other hand, it provides refiners the option of converting FCC gasoline into petrochemical products – BTX and additional propylene.
