LD 2773
- Description: Selective Hydrogenation - FCC C4/C5 cuts or Phenylacetylene selective hydrogenation
- Characteristics:Pd, Promotor, Al2O3
- Shape:Spheres
LD 2773 is a promoted palladium-on-alumina catalyst currently used for selective hydrogenation of methylacetylene and propadiene in propylene cuts and hydrogenation of butadiene in butene cuts produced by FCC or coker units. FCC and coker C3 and C4 cuts may contain contaminants such as sulfur and COS in high concentrations which produce a strong deactivation of conventional palladium catalysts.
The presence in LD 2773 of specific palladium promoters provides total stability in the face of the increased presence of pollutants.
