Discover our Solutions
Landfill gas, produced from the anaerobic decomposition of solid waste, becomes a valuable resource when purified. We offer an extensive portfolio of adsorbents for comprehensive landfill gas purification, enabling its safe use in power and heat generation or upgrading to biomethane.
Our solutions cover a wide range of applications, including drying, CO2 separation, and the removal of VOCs, siloxanes, H₂S and other sulfurs, oxygen, nitrogen, mercury, fluoride and chloride, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Hydrogen sulfide and other sulfurs are the most common contaminant in Biogas and Landfill Gas. Axens offers a range of adsorbent products to bring a simple, reliable, and cost-effective solution for a wide variety of treatment challenges.
Volatile organic compounds can lead to harmful emissions and difficulty meeting gas quality specifications. Axens offers VOC removal solutions as a polishing step to complement other treatment technologies
Removal of moisture is a standard unit operation in Biogas and Landfill Gas plants. Axens offers dehydration/drying adsorbents to meet stringent moisture specifications with minimal energy required.
Mercury can be present at trace levels in landfill gas. Its removal is crucial to prevent HSE-related issues, corrosion problems, and damage to downstream treatment technologies.
Removal of carbon dioxide to purify methane Landfill gas into biomethane is required in RNG plants. Axens offers molecular sieve and alumina products adsorbents in Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) units for minimum coadsorption and maximum performance.
Siloxanes are a growing contaminant of concern in Biogas and Landfill Gas plants. If not removed, siloxanes could damage downstream equipment. Axens offers activated alumina to completely and reliably remove siloxanes.
Biogas, derived from livestock farms and agricultural waste, requires purification for effective heat and power generation. Axens offers advanced adsorbents for drying, CO2 separation, and removing H2S and other sulfurs, oxygen, VOCs and other trace contaminants.
In partnership with Arol Energy, we provide state-of-the-art amine and membrane technologies to efficiently upgrade biogas to high-quality biomethane.
